John C. Peters, PhD, is Professor of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine, and Chief Strategy Officer of the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center. Dr. Peters is a researcher and strategist in nutrition, obesity, diabetes and related diseases. He is co-founder and CEO of the America on the Move Foundation and is past President of the International Life Sciences Institute, Center for Health Promotion. He has served on two National Academies of Science, Institute of Medicine committees on the prevention of childhood obesity. Dr. Peters has authored over 160 scientific papers and book chapters and has published two books.
